Daily Schedule

You've read some of the student profiles  and viewed pictures in the media gallery, but you're still wondering what a regular day at West Nottingham feels like.  Take a look:

7:00 - 7:30 - Breakfast. Fuel up for the day with cereal, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, bagels, juice, and more. Or, if you're not a morning person, sleep a few extra minutes and sprint to homeroom - completely your decision.

7:45 - 7:50 - Advisor Homeroom. Check in with your advisor and get announcements. On Wednesdays, everyone meets in the dining room for a school-wide morning meeting.
 
7:55 - Classes Begin. Most classes (45-70 minutes each) are held in Finley-Bathon, the main academic building and are on a rotating schedule.
 
11:30 - 1:00 - Lunch. Head down to Brown Dining Room, grab some lunch and relax. Then, head back to class.
 
3:00 - The Academic Day Ends. Breathe......
 
3 - 3:15 - Class officers and clubs meet at this time to plan for upcoming events. Get ready for athletics & activities.

3:15 - 5 - Athletics & Activities. Depending on the time of year and your particular sport, these times can vary.  
 
5 - 6 - Some day students get picked up & head home.  Boarders have free time to relax after a busy day, listen to music, watch TV, or just hang out with friends.
 
5:45 - 6:45 - Dinner. More time to catch up with friends and relax before study hall.

7:30 - Study Hall Begins. Each student is assigned to one of two study halls: In-Dorm or Structured.
 
9:30 - Study Hall ends. You have a final bit of free time before checking into your dorm for the evening. Check in by 9:45.
 
9:45 - In Dorm. You’re in for the night. Watch some TV, make phone calls, talk with friends - you get the picture.  
 
10:30 - In Room. By now, you’ve showered, brushed teeth and flossed (you flossed, right?). You’re getting ready for bed.
 
10:45 - Lights Out. After a busy day, it’s time to sleep. Occasionally, students may get permission for “late lights” to complete homework. Seniors may stay up until 11 p.m.. Don't worry, the schedule changes on weekends. Check-in is usually 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, with no lights out (as long as you keep it fairly quiet,OK?).
