WNA Student Advances in
Math Competition
Colora, Maryland......Congratulations to WNA student JiHoon Y. who qualified for the second round of the University of Maryland's High School Mathematics Competition. A team of students and faculty from WNA traveled to College Park earlier this trimester to compete with nearly 2500 others throughout the state. With the grueling exam complete, only 254 of the 2474 participants scored well enough to move onto round two.
JiHoon
received a score of 54/100 on the competition. In order to qualify for
the second round of the competition, students needed to receive a score of 50
or above. The highest score this year was a 100 and the lowest score was
a -44. JiHoon’s rank as 168/2474. The median score was an
18.
