Welcome! We are so pleased that you are interested in West Nottingham Academy, the oldest boarding school in America. With so many choices here in the United States and abroad, few can offer the level of individualized attention which WNA has provided for so many years. We believe that stronger language aquisition comes from greater attention to each student and a commitment from the entire school community to encourage development of those skills throughout the day. Our English as a Second Language program supplements our curriculum.

ABOUT WNA
We are a small, boarding and day school for 120 students in grades 9-12 located one hour from Philadelphia and Baltimore and 90 minutes from Washington D.C. Founded in 1744, West Nottingham is the oldest boarding school in America with two signers of the Declaration of Independence counted among its earliest students.
WHY WNA?
Because we are a smaller school, your son or daughter will study at a school where they will receive far greater individual attention and feel safe and comfortable living and learning in preparation for university.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The admission decision is based on grades, test scores, recommendations, and an interview.
A complete application includes:
- Online Application
- 3 Teacher Recommendations (included in application)
- Transcripts
- TOEFL or SSAT Scores
- Interview - via SKYPE or in person.
WHEN DO I RECEIVE AN I-20?
Signed I-20's are issued to each new student when we receive a signed contract and non-refundable deposit to hold their place here at the school. It is sent by DHL and we can provide a tracking number.
