Health and Wellness

Health Services

West Nottingham Academy provides a variety of wellness services for its community. Students feeling under the weather can visit our Health Center, located in the center of campus, to meet with our school nurse. The center is fully equipped to handle the vast majority of common ailments: headaches, stomachaches, colds, flu, cuts, and sprains. The nurse is available weekdays 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and is on-call for medical emergencies. For prescription services, West Nottingham Academy has an account with a local pharmacy.

Counseling Services

Students in need of emotional support can visit our school counselor, holds a Masters of Education in Secondary School Counseling and can work with students with mild anxiety and depression, homesickness and social difficulties. For other concerns, the school counselor can assist families in connecting with mental health professionals outside of the employment of WNA. Our school counselor lives on campus and is available whenever classes are in session, and is also on-call for emergencies. A licensed therapist visits campus once a week to work with a small number of students.

Administrator on Duty

When students need to reach an adult during evening and weekend hours, they simply notify the Administration on Duty. At West Nottingham Academy, a faculty member or administrator is always on duty.
