Founded in 1744, West Nottingham Academy (WNA) is the oldest boarding school in America. WNA is on a beautiful campus near the Chesapeake Bay.

West Nottingham is in the heart of the Mid-Atlantic region, within ninety minutes of Washington, DC, two-and-a-half hours from New York City, and a sixty-minute drive from Baltimore & Philadelphia.

Recent graduates have attended a diverse array of schools including: Syracuse University, Dickinson, Wellesley, Ithaca College, New York University, Carnegie-Mellon, Massachussetts Institute of Technology, University of Rochester, James Madison University, University of Maryland, Michigan State University.
Environmental Awareness. West Nottingham is an officially designated Green School by the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Activities because of our environmental activities and ecologically diverse campus.
