At West Nottingham Academy, our students are our purpose.  As a boarding school, we support not only the academic and co-curricular pursuits of our students, but the ideas of character, integrity, and community.  It is our goal to provide a dynamic and engaging educational journey from the moment our students arrive on campus as freshmen to graduation day and beyond.

Campus life provides students with a wealth of options, including athletics, fine and performing arts, and opportunities to experience the global diversity of our community.  The social scene is always active, offering students the chance to help plan events and participate in long-standing West Nottingham traditions.

Completing the balance is, of course, a challenging, yet supportive, academic program.  A positive peer culture, promoted by a committed faculty, encourages growth and results in academic skills and the self-confidence needed to succeed in college and beyond.

Mission and Core Values

West Nottingham Academy is a diverse, student-centered, boarding and day school for young men and women in 9th through 12th grades, and post-graduate. Since its founding in 1744, the Academy has prepared students for the challenges of college and life through a curriculum grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, and a commitment to the intellectual, spiritual, and social growth of each student.

At West Nottingham, we encourage the entire school community to fully embrace our core values:

Respect leads to Responsibility,
Passion leads to Perseverance,
Spirituality leads to Service,
Together, they assure Integrity.

Diversity statement: We, as a community of learners, welcome and value diversity and what it adds to a learning environment.  Every individual of the West Nottingham Academy community brings an intricate combination of cultural traditions, personal and family beliefs, and life experiences.  As a historically inclusive Academy, West Nottingham respects and supports the ethical and educational importance of a multicultural curriculum and co-curricular program in accordance with its mission statement and core values.
