Campus Visits and Shadow Days

Families ready to start the application process can come visit us during the week to take a tour of campus with a member of the Ram Squad, our student ambassador group, meet with teachers and administrators, and complete an admission interview.  Expect a campus visit to last about an hour and a half.  Visits are offered Tuesday through Thursday at 8:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., and Friday at 8:45 a.m.

If you've already completed the application process, students can take advantage of a shadow day on campus.  Future students will be paired with a member of the Ram Squad, our student ambassador group, for the day, and will attend classes, eat lunch in the dining hall, and hear about the WNA experience directly from current students.  Expect a shadow day to last three to four hours.

Admission Open Houses

Open Houses offer parents and students the opportunity to meet current parents, students, faculty, and administrators.  During an open house, families will learn about academic and co-curricular programs at WNA, in addition to after-school activities and boarding life.  Families will also have a chance to tour the school and meet members of the Rams Squad, our student ambassador group.  The Admission Office will offer a number of open house events this year, so choose one that fits your schedule!  Interviews are available at the conclusion of each open house, by request.

If you are unable to attend an open house, we encourage you to contact the Admission Office for more information and to schedule a campus visit.

Middle School Workshops

Do you have a middle school-aged student who might be interested in attending West Nottingham Academy? While you are welcome to join us for an open house or campus visit, we encourage 6th through 8th grade students to join us for one of our middle school workshops.  These workshops give students the opportunity to learn from and work with Academy faculty members in a number of disciplines, including art, science, and sustainability.  During the art workshop, students will work with the current artist-in-residence to design their own masterpiece to take home with them.  Science workshops, hosted by the Academy's director of STEAM and innovation, will cover topics in robotics, chemistry, and physics.  Middle school students can also learn from the director of sustainability programs and the school's student-led Green Team to learn more about our current sustainability initiatives, conservation efforts on our campus, and our local partnership with Kilby Farm.
