  • Credit Card

West Nottingham Academy accepts gifts charged to American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. Click to use our secure, online donation form.
  • Stock and Securities

Gifts of stocks and securities, including mutual funds, benefit the Academy. Donors receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the appreciated security, and can sometimes allow a donor to avoid capital gains taxes. In addition to giving appreciated securities as an outright gift, donors may choose to make a gift of securities or stocks through a trust, thereby preserving income during your lifetime or the lifetime of your designated beneficiary. The tax advantages vary according to the plan you choose. For all the above, donors should consult with a tax advisor for more information.

For gifts to West Nottingham Academy, please ask your broker to transfer stocks and securities to the following account:

    UBS Financial Services, Inc.
    DTC: 0221
    Acct: JW22304
Memo: Donor info + WNA Endowment
    Contact Name: James Cannon
    Contact Phone Number: 410-576-3215
Please forward details regarding a pending stock transfer to Valerie Bines, specifying the name and number of shares transferred, the date of transfer to our account, and the mean market value per share on the date of transfer.   Unfortunately, usually the donor's name is not transferred with the stock information. Providing us with information relating to the transfer will ensure stock gifts are properly received and appropriately attributed to the donor.
  • International Transfer of Funds

West Nottingham Academy has partnered with Flywire in order to streamline the process of international payment. Flywire allows secure payment from any country and any bank, generally in the home currency and at a more desirable exchange rate. Click here for the WNA Flywire account.
  • Wiring or Electronic Transfer

Gifts may be deposited directly into our account via wire transfer. Click here for wiring instructions. Please note, a bank imposed fee is sometimes applied to wire transfers.
  • Gifts-in-Kind

Gifts-in-kind are generally defined as non-cash donations, other than real and personal property, of material or long-lived assets.  Gifts-in-kind usually come from companies, corporations, or vendors and include things like equipment, software, printed materials, food for hosting dinners, gifts of royalties from property, oil, gas or mineral rights, and services.  All gifts-in-kind must be approved by the West Nottingham Academy Gift Review Committee.
  • Corporate Matching Gifts

Many companies have programs in which they match the gifts made by their employees and families. Inquire with your employer to see if your gift can be quickly and easily doubled.
  • Real Property (Real Estate)

Gifts of residential and commercial real estate must comply with guidelines established by the Internal Revenue Service and must be approved by the West Nottingham Academy Gift Review Committee.  A Phase I Environmental Assessment by a qualified assessor is mandatory.  If you are interested in using a personal residence or farm to establish a life-estate agreement that would allow you to donate your personal residence or farm, and obtain a charitable tax deduction, while allowing you to live in your home, please contact the Advancement Office.
